Castellare di Castellina was born of the union of four estates (Castellare, Caselle, San Niccolò and Le Case) on the initiative of Paolo Panerai, with the aim of producing wine of the best possible quality. This was in the 1970s, when the so-called Renaissance of Italian wine had begun.

Silver Oak started with a handshake between two friends, Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer, and one bold idea to focus on a single varietal and do it exceptionally well. From a dairy barn in Oakville to our beloved Cabernets on dining tables across the globe, our Napa Valley and Alexander Valley wines became staples for remarkable moments. Every decision is made with the next generation in mind. Both our Napa Valley and Alexander Valley homes are certified LEED® Platinum—the only commercial wineries on earth to achieve it—because sustainability isn’t a trend for us. It’s a standard.

One of the best-known names in the southern Rhône – the home estate Château de Beaucastel sits in Courthézon and has been family-owned since 1909. Only organic farming since around 1950, biodynamics since 1974 – long before either became fashionable. Roughly 100 hectares of vines around Beaucastel, plus Famille Perrin estates across the Rhône; Beaucastel uses all 13 permitted grape varieties. La Vieille Ferme“ has grown into a global brand for affordable Rhône wine – more than 150,000 cases a year.
