"... The walls wore a deep merlot shade that complemented a tri-panel painting of deep purple tulips over the decorated mantel. An Oriental rug and pretty window valances lent soft touches to the room, contrasting with edgy "bad girl art" on the walls. These paintings, reproduced on placemats, bore such amusing legends as "I'm still hot ... It just comes in flashes now." Loring perked up his ears when he heard music he believed was by Enigma floating through the speakers. The hostess warmed Loring up to the idea of an Oprahtini, a blend of pomegranate vodka, Cointreau and dry vermouth..."
