Located on the banks of Smiling Pool and adjacent to the famous "Briar Patch" of Thornton Burgess's stories, Green Briar offers natural history exhibits, live animals, a spectacular wildflower garden and nature trails through the 57-acre Briar Patch Conservation Area. The Jam Kitchen is a living museum where jams and jellies are still made using turn-of-the-century methods.

The life, works and spirit of the renowned children's author, naturalist and Sandwich native are preserved at the Thornton W. Burgess Museum.
Cape Cod National Seashore
Cape Cod was designated as a National Seashore in 1961. It has many miles of beaches, historical lighthouses, nature trails, picnic areas, and overlooks.
Hyannis Whale Watching Cruises
Whale watching departs from Barnstable on Cape Cod. These excursion take you on a high speed pursuit of the great creatures of the sea. This has included spottings of Finbacks, Minkes, Humpback Whales, and Atlantic White-Sided Dolphins.
Cape Cod Canal - Bike Path

Sandwich Boardwalk
The Sandwich Boardwalk crosses the Mill Creek connected to the Sandwich Bay and provides a connection to the beach. It is raised above the marshlands and is a great location to take a stroll.
The Island Ferry
Providing year-round passenger and vehicle ferry service to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Service is provided from Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven and Hyannis to Nantucket. Seasonal service is provided from Woods Hole to Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. Seasonal passenger only service is also provided from New Bedford to Oak Bluffs

Hoxie House
This ancient house, the oldest on Cape Cod, was built circa 1675 for Reverend John Smith, who was welcomed here after a long period without a minister. The town restored it to 1675 period and opened it to the public in 1960.
